I am probably going to piss some people off but this wouldn't be the first day anyway...
There is a difference between queer-coding and queerbaiting.
The illustrate has not once entertained the possibility that Jayce and Viktor could be together as a romantic couple. They are supposed to become almost "sworn enemies" in the future. Just appreciate Jinx and Vi, there was no happy ending for them.
THERE IS, however, much more prominent queer-coding with Viktor than Jayce ever had and I am talking specifically about just the character this second. (The bedroom joke, the looks he gives Jayce, his rejection of his assistant who happens to be a woman, the "partner" talk, his outcast status among the other kids in episode 6.) It's very clear for Viktor that he is queer-coded now let's see if they will evolve on it in the future.

Few were left alone, and if they were, this decision was made of their own volition. So let’s dive into exactly what makes that so queer. All the lesbians who have spent the past several years wishing for a Caitlyn and Vi sex scene had their prayers answered with the final act of season 2. The eighth episode saw Jinx escape her prison cell and leave Vi Arcane Season 2, and the series as a whole, has officially ended, and while it was an emotional rollercoaster that some people still haven't recovered from, a lot of talking points were thrown up as a result of the show's climax. One such conversation that is still progressing is the relationship between Viktor and Jayce, and whether the two include any sort of love-related feelings for each other. Viktor and Jayce is a very popular ship among the Arcane fandom, buArcane Season 2 Just Made All Of My Gay Dreams Arrive True
