Bleach gay
Concannon, who previously held positions at the English colleges of Royal Holloway and Goldsmiths, published a paper in July that explored why mental illness had endured among homosexual men despite social progress. Drawing on research from others, Concannon points to a destructive competitiveness within the homosexual community and its various subcultures, each of which prizes different forms of capital to resolve one’s status. Most obviously, that includes one’s physique and appearance — the emphasis on which has only worsened, Concannon believes, because of social media — but it can also enclose things like race, income, and even HIV status. He notes one American gay man who was quoted in a 2017 HuffPost piece on lgbtq+ loneliness: “The bullied kids of our youth grew up and became bullies themselves.”
Concannon, 61, experienced the pressure of one of these forms of social currency — age — during a seven-year period, from 2011 to 2018, that he spent living in Sitges, Spain.
Surrounded by immature, tanned surfers, he was called plump and old on more than one occasion. So he did something to his hair that sounded pretty familiar: “I dyed it blonde — oh god — to fit in, I suppose, to glance younge
Yamamoto guesses the shinigami’s sexualities
As requested by anon. :) And also theheartsaysimsorryandgoodbye. ;)
Back in February, there was a list about Gin guessing the espada’s sexualities. Now it’s day for the sequel! This time Yamamoto is the one guessing, and he’ll be talking about his own subordinates!
1. Ukitake: Gay
“I possess long believed that Jushiro is same-sex attracted. Mostly for Shunsui. Why do I think this? Adv, because of the deep bond I have always sensed between Shunsui and Jushiro. And also because that just happens to be my OTP.”
Ukitake: Complete you, uh, consume a lot of time shipping your subordinates, sir?
2. Kyoraku: Gay
“Shunsui, of course, is also same-sex attracted. For Jushiro.”
Kyoraku: So I’m guessing those sexual harassment complaints from my female subordinates never reached you?
Yamamoto: I’LL SHIP YOU WITH JUSHIRO IF I Wish TO SHIP YOU WITH JUSHIRO
3. Byakuya: Straight
“I assume that Kuchiki is direct, given that he was married to a woman. Although the fanfic I’ve seen does construct a compelling case for ‘bisexual.’”
Byakuya: …reading fanfic about y
Bleach Sexual Orientation Discussion
Most of the characters fall into the "indifferent" group because we don't see that sort of interaction.
Married couples: Isshin and Masaki, Ryuuken and Kanae.
Kira had (and still does have) a thing for Gin, but Gin preferred Rangiku.
Uryuu is in love with Orihime, no indications elsewhere. Ditto Ulquiorra in care for with Orihime.
Suifeng and Chizuru are lesbians. I assume Orihime would be happier if she went assist to Tatsuki being the person she wanted to protect; things have gone downhill from there IMO. Schoolgirl romance is adorable anyway; it would suit her.
Byakuya was married to Hisana before (obviously), but now is being strangely protective of Renji for reasons that exceed the normal Captain-VC relationship (not to mention how SOULS described their battle). So I wonder about him. Renji was in admire with Rukia at one point but "adores" Byakuya as per SOULS.
Hisagi's Kensei-worship, enough said. And now he's probably truly glad. I hope Kensei feels the same about him but there's no distinct indication.
Yumichika at least is in love with Ikkaku, not sure about Ikkaku's feelings at this show. Do

Spoilers for Bleach
Bleach came out in 2001 and alongside One Piece and Naruto, became one of three tentpoles of Shonen Jump’s financial success in the 2000s. The manga follows Ichigo, a fifteen-year-old high school student who can see ghosts and ends up fighting monster “ghosts” called Hollows. The manga starts off as a monster-of-the-week action series before developing into a packed blown saga to save the world. You know, typical shounen shit.
The art style was bombastic, and the pages were snappy. It’s often considered to be the most stylish of the Big Three that dominated manga sales and discussion during the mid-late 2000’s and 2010’s. And that style is what drew me to the series as a fifteen year old myself. One Piece was too prolonged, and I was too obsessed with not seeming cringe to read Naruto, so Bleach it was.
I didn’t want to accept this then, but one of the things that drove me to read it was one of my earliest queer memories: Volume 17’s cover, which features Yoruichi crouched in a pair of grey leggings so secure you could see her ass crack. It was also the volume that gave u
