The Lost actress distributed a blog on her Substack on Friday (May 30) detailing the gruesome injury she suffered after falling into a large rock, per Us Weekly. She also gave fans a closer look at the damage in a couple photos, documenting the large scrape on her upper lip, nose and chin.
"I fainted at the beach. And fell face-first into a boulder," she wrote, sharing pics of the gnarly injury.
The Ant-Man celebrity went on to describe her hospital experience, getting treated for the "hole punctured into my face by the rock" while doctors worked to decide what caused her to faint. Even as medical professionals ruled out heart issues, low blood sugar and iron levels, Lilly said she knew they wouldn't find anything because she has had fainting episodes all her life.
"I have had 'absent' and fainting spells since I was a little girl," she wrote, adding that doctors contain tossed around conditions like epilepsy and hypoglycemia, both of which have seemingly been ruled out as she got older.
