Gay pride and transsexual flags flying at white house

Biden agencies wave pride flags in about-face from Trump

When Jeff Marootian started his government career about two decades ago, he didn’t expect he’d ever appear a ceremony to soar a pride flag outside a federal agency.

“The consideration that we could be here celebrating, raising a pride flag with a Cabinet secretary, with agency leadership, would have been unimaginable,” Marootian — now a White House unique assistant for climate and science personnel — said earlier this week outside the Energy Department’s headquarters.

He was there to sign the second straight year that a rainbow lgbtq+ fest flag has gone up outside the department to commemorate lesbian, gay, bi-curious, transgender and queer Identity festival Month in June.

Downtown Washington has gotten more colorful this month as DOE and other federal agencies have hoisted rainbow flags to adorn their drab headquarters. It represents a stark shift from just a few years ago, when the Trump administration rejected requests to soar rainbow pride flags from federal properties.

Pride flags are also flying outside EPA, the Agriculture and Interior departments, and a host of other federal agencies, some for the first time ever. The General Services A

Fox News and the Biden administration are wrangling after the network published an article about the White House's conclusion to fly the Pride Progress flag, which Fox News corporate previously used in its responsibility report about diversity.

The issue stemmed from an article that Fox News published with the authentic title, "White Dwelling flew controversial modern transgender flag that promotes grooming and pedophilia, say critics," Mediaite reported. The headline has been tweaked to "White House flew controversial new transgender flag that troubles some critics in the gay community."

The revised article was published after White Residence Deputy Press Secretary and Senior Communications Adviser Andrew Bates accused the network of "lying through their teeth."

"Fox never even communicated the malicious and discredited foundation of this article to the White House. Then they lie about whether we responded at all," he tweeted. A Light House spokesperson told Mediaite that a media representative from the White Dwelling responded to Fox before it initially published the story.

Fox News told Newsweek that the network reached out to the White Residence 24 hours in advance prior to publishing t

Florida’s Governor is emotionally attached in a flag flap in the wake of a White House Celebration celebration, but it’s not entirely remove if he has command of the facts of the matter.

Ron DeSantis groused to reporters in Fort Pierce that the Joe Bidenadministration privileged the rainbow-colored Self-acceptance flag over the U.S. flag, calling it a “transgender” banner.

“When they had at the Light House, you understand, this transgender flag (taking) precedence over the American flag. That’s wrong. That is not how you display the American flag,” DeSantis said Thursday.

Contrary to the assertions of some Republicans, the U.S. flag was the most prominently displayed, as it flew over the White House even as the Self-acceptance flag was side-by-side with the American flag on the White House balcony. It’s unclear whether the Governor was aware of that or not.

DeSantis also waded into a controversy about transsexual activist Rose Montoya, who was videotaped shirtless at the event in question.

“And I think when you have the inappropriate conduct at the White Residence with like, you know, these transsexual flashing people nude and all this stuff, you grasp, it’s

'Progress' flag to fly at Articulate Department for 1st time to mark Pride Month

A year after Pride flags were banned from being displayed at U.S embassies, the State Department, for the first time, will raise the "Progress" flag outside its building in Washington on Friday and throughout the weekend in celebration of Pride.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced earlier this week that the agency would present the flag to close out Pride Month, describing it as "a symbol that encompasses the diversity and intersectionality of LGBTQI persons and communities around the world."

There will be a flag-raising ceremony at the State Department on Friday with remarks from Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman, Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley and glifaa president Jeff Anderson to mark the moment, according to an agency release.

Anderson's organization, glifaa, represents lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender personnel at the Articulate Department and other foreign affairs agencies.

The Progress flag builds on the six-stripe rainbow of the Pride flag by adding a chevron of white, pink, beam blue, brown and black -
