Who are we?
Our story began in the early '90s when we came together in parks and houses. As a matter of fact, someone used to tell our story a long moment ago. But the '90s became a cornerstone on our journey of telling our own story. On our journey that we started to reclaim our own lives, to state "We exist", the first issue of our magazine met with readers on September 20, 1994. "We live in a population that is not only sexist but also heterosexist" was written on the cover of our first issue.
We kept coming together, arguing, inventing new ways. Violence in a park was also our topic, and so was the media; academia was one of our discussions and so was human rights. We've talked about HIV, we've created strategies against hate. Our readers were not just readers, they took their place in our magazine with their letters. We kept going forward while not giving up the dream of organizing, getting together and changing an entire world.

The purpose of the Kaos Male lover and Lesbian Cultural Researches and Solidarity Association (Kaos GL) is to encourage Lesbian, Gay, Pansexual and Trans individuals in embracing libertarian values, realising their own existence, and in cultivating themselves in order to contribute to the development of social peace and welfare together with the development of their individual, social and cultural life and behaviour.
Kaos GL adopts it as its working principle to make visible the activities of human rights organisations and LGBTI organisations productive on human rights; to create added value for the activities carried out in the field of human rights and fundamental freedoms by gays, lesbians, bisexuals and trans and intersexual individuals, LGBTI organisations operational in the area of human rights and other human rights organisations; and increase mutual awareness and exchange of experiences and enhance and strengthen solidarity and cooperation opportunities between Kaos GL and other LGBTI organisations and rights-based NGOs. The purpose of the Kaos Lgbtq+ and Lesbian Cultural Researches and Solidarity Association (Kaos GL) is to help Lesbian, Gay, Attracted to both genders and Trans individuals in embracing libertarian values, realizing their own existence, and in cultivating themselves in order to contribute to the development of social peace and welfare together with the development of their individual, social and cultural life and behavior. Kaos GL conducts cultural, educational, artistic and sports or similar activities or attempts to endorse achievements to be done in this framework so that LGBT individuals may embrace autonomy, justice and calm as their fundamental values, so that they may conceive human rights as the rights of all human beings without making discrimination based on language, race, color, gender, sexual orientation, philosophical conviction, religion, religious sect, locality, so that they may struggle against homophobia and transphobia in every sphere of life.
